🐾 Yesterday, we said goodbye to one of Slidell Police Department’s most beloved canines, K-9 Quest.
Quest joined our department in 2014 and served faithfully alongside his handler, Sergeant Clint McCall. From the start, he proved to be an exceptional partner . . . loyal, driven, and fearless in the face of danger.
Throughout his career, Quest was instrumental in the apprehension of numerous felony offenders, and played a critical role in taking illegal narcotics off our streets. His service directly contributed to the safety and security of our community, leaving a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.
Many may also remember Quest from his appearances on the national television program “Live PD,” where he demonstrated the skill, discipline, and dedication that defined our K-9 unit, or from one of the hundreds of community events he attended alongside his handler throughout his career.
After retiring in 2020, Quest spent his well-earned years at home with Sgt. McCall, surrounded by the family who loved him as their own.
Quest served with courage, stood with loyalty, and protected without hesitation. A true legend in the canine division whose impact and legacy will never be forgotten.
We extend our deepest condolences to Sgt. McCall and his family.
Rest easy, K-9 Quest. 🐾
