UPDATE: Repairs are complete and all lanes of the St. Claude Avenue Bridge are now open.
ST. CLAUDE AVENUE BRIDGE: Eastbound lanes closed
The St. Claude Avenue Bridge in New Orleans is currently closed to eastbound vehicular traffic (headed toward St. Bernard Parish) due to damage caused by a vehicular accident.
Personnel are currently working to replace a damaged traffic signal and traffic gate, and both eastbound lanes will remain closed until repairs are complete.
The bridge is open to westbound traffic and marine traffic, and the reopening of the eastbound lanes is anticipated to happen later today.
