A traffic accident in the 8000 block of West St. Bernard Highway has caused a power outage affecting approximately 1,500 residents in the Arabi and Chalmette area.
Our Traffic Division has placed stop signs at the following intersections due to traffic lights being out:
• Friscoville & St. Claude
• Rowley Blvd & St. Bernard Highway
• Jean Lafitte Blvd & St. Bernard Highway
• Kean Drive & St. Bernard Highway
Please drive carefully and avoid the area if possible while our deputies and Entergy crews work in the area.
