🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – JUDGE SEEBER/CLAIBORNE AVE BRIDGE 🚧
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the Judge Seeber/Claiborne Avenue Bridge (LA 39) closed to vehicular traffic at 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, due to electrical problems with the bridge’s raising and lowering mechanism. The bridge will remain closed to vehicles throughout the weekend.
Starting Monday, Aug. 11, the bridge will only be open to vehicles during rush hours:
🕡 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
🕞 3:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
Outside these times – including weekends – the bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic. Marine traffic will still be able to pass through at all times when vehicle access is not permitted.
🚗 Detours: St. Claude Avenue Bridge, Florida Avenue Bridge or I-510.
Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
