TRAFFIC ALERT: FULL BRIDGE CLOSURE ON LA 39 (CLAIBORNE AVE)
Please be advised that the Judge Seeber/Claiborne Avenue Bridge (LA 39) was fully closed today (Monday, May 19) to vehicle traffic in both directions — westbound and eastbound — and will remain closed through Friday, May 23, 2025 at noon. (weather permitting)
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), this continuous full closure is necessary to perform mechanical work on the bridge.
While vehicle traffic will not be allowed during this time, marine traffic will remain unaffected.
Plan ahead and use alternate routes to enter and exit St. Bernard during this period:

➡️Florida Avenue Bridge
➡️Paris Road Green Bridge/I-510
