The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is investigating what appears to be a murder suicide that occurred Friday morning in Violet, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Shortly after 8 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 11, Sheriff Pohlmann said, deputies responded to a call about shots being fired in the 3000 block of Woods Drive.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found two victims with fatal gunshot wounds inside a home on Woods Drive.
At this time, it appears a male subject shot and killed a female, and then shot and killed himself. The investigation is ongoing.
