The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office had several deputies participate in Joseph Davies Elementary School’s Literacy Week festivities this week on their Meraux campus.
Sheriff James Pohlmann encourages deputies to participate in Literacy Week to inspire a love of reading in children and highlight the importance of education.
“Their involvement also helps build positive relationships between law enforcement and the community from a young age,” the Sheriff said.
