St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office to recruit at Chamber Job Fair

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office will participate in the St. Bernard Chamber Business Expo & Job Fair set for Thursday, Sept. 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Val Riess Recreation Complex, 1101 Magistrate St. in Chalmette.

“We are currently looking for highly-motivated men and women to be a part of our Patrol, Communications and Corrections Divisions,” Sheriff James Pohlmann said. “Our goal is to become the finest law enforcement agency in the State of Louisiana. To accomplish this goal, we must be selective in hiring, diligent in training, and thoughtful in supervision.”

Anyone interested in finding out more about a career in law enforcement is invited to stop by the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office booth at the event. Deputies from various divisions, including Patrol, Corrections and the SWAT team, will be present to hand out applications and answer questions about a career with the Sheriff’s Office.
