Our community experienced a tornado touchdown today, leaving damage in St. Bernard Parish. We are grateful that crews have been working tirelessly to respond and begin recovery efforts.
At this time:
⚡ Approximately 2,200 homes remain without power. Entergy is working to restore power to affected customers.
🏠 Five homes sustained severe roof damage, while additional homes experienced missing shingles, downed trees, damaged fences, and other storm-related impacts.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to The Home Depot for stepping up and delivering much-needed supplies to assist residents whose homes were damaged by the storms. Your generosity is making a difference when it’s needed most.
A special thank you also goes to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office for keeping damaged roadways closed and helping ensure the safety of residents while Entergy crews work to restore power.
We are incredibly grateful to our St. Bernard Fire Department, Entergy lineworkers, public works crews, emergency personnel, and all first responders who have been working to respond to emergencies, clear hazards, and help our community recover.
Thank you, St. Bernard, for looking out for one another. We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available. 💙
