SJSO Announces Death Of Deputy Shaquille Guerin
It is with deep sadness that St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre and the men and women of the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office announce the passing of our colleague and friend, Deputy Shaquille Guerin who was tragically killed in Jefferson Parish on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025.
This incident is still under investigation by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Guerin has been with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office for eight (8) years and 65 days. He was assigned to the uniform patrol division. He also worked in the detective bureau.
“Shaquille did his job well! He had the heart of a public servant,” Sheriff Tregre said. “He carried and showed positivity as an employee for the St. John Sheriff’s Office and teammate to his coworkers.”
Deputy Guerin is survived by his wife Roxanne and their three children.
