SHERIFF POHLMANN WINS FOURTH TERM AS SHERIFF OF ST. BERNARD
Sheriff James Pohlmann went unopposed to win a fourth four-year term as sheriff of St. Bernard Parish when no one filed to run against him on Aug. 10 at the end of the three-day qualifying period for the October election.
“I’m honored to be able to serve another four-year term as sheriff of our great parish,’’ Sheriff Pohlmann said after the qualifying period ended and he was being congratulated by well-wishers at the Parish Courthouse.
Sheriff Pohlmann said moving forward the men and women of the Sheriff’s Office will continue doing the great work they’ve been doing to keep our parish safe.
“With low crime statistics, quick response times, and fast solve rates, we will work hard to ensure St. Bernard continues to be one of the safest communities in which to work, live and raise a family,” the Sheriff said.
First elected Sheriff in November 2011, Sheriff Pohlmann was re-elected without opposition in 2015, 2019, and again today.
The Sheriff’s fourth term begins July 1, 2024.
