SHERIFF POHLMANN OFFERS PRAYERS AND ASSISTANCE
St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann said our hearts are with the victims of the recent terrorist incident on Bourbon Street, their families, and the first responders who were directly affected.
“We are sending our thoughts and prayers for healing, strength, and peace during this incredibly difficult time,” the Sheriff said.
A specialized team of St. Bernard deputies have been deployed by Sheriff Pohlmann as part of a regional effort to help NOPD and Louisiana State Police ensure the safety and security of everyone attending today’s Sugar Bowl.
“Public safety is a shared responsibility,” said Sheriff Pohlmann. “When our neighbors in New Orleans face extraordinary challenges such as this recent tragedy, it’s our duty to step up and help ensure everyone’s safety.”
By working together with law enforcement agencies across the region, the Sheriff said, we demonstrate the power of unity and collaboration in the face of adversity.
Please join us in wishing all of the spectators, players, deputies and first responders a safe and successful operation for today’s events.
