SEVEN SBSO DEPUTIES GRADUATE FROM P.O.S.T. POLICE ACADEMY
Seven St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated Tuesday, May 5 from the Peace Officers Standards and Training, or P.O.S.T. School, at the Slidell Regional Police Academy, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Congratulations to graduates: Dep. Lytisha Ford, Dep. Derrick Stewart, Dep. Shelbie Kuylen, Dep. Jack Stogner, Dep. Charles Migliore, Dep. Sheldon Prats and Dep. Anthony Pellerano.
This academy included nearly 700 hours of training in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms use, criminal investigation, patrol procedures, building clearance, writing reports, driving training and physical fitness.
Dep. Lytisha Ford was awarded the class Will to Win Physical Training Award for demonstrating an outstanding level of commitment and dedication, and Dep. Jack Stogner received the First Place Overall Scholastic Average award.
Sheriff Pohlmann praised the deputies for reaching this milestone, noting their dedication and perseverance.
“Earning P.O.S.T. certification takes a lot of hard work, discipline and determination,” the Sheriff said. “This training gives them the tools to serve and protect our community confidently.”
