SBSO VISITS WITH PRIMARY EARLY EDUCATION CENTER
St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Eric Eilers, director of the Community Relations Division, and Chaplain Deputy Aaron Johnson recently visited students at the Primary Early Education Center in Meraux, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
During their visit, they spoke about the many responsibilities of sheriff’s deputies and gave students an up-close look at some of the equipment deputies use in the course of their duties.
Sheriff Pohlmann said visits like these help foster positive relationships between law enforcement and young members of the community. By interacting with children in a fun and educational setting, deputies build trust, promote safety awareness, and help children see law enforcement officers as approachable individuals who are committed to protecting and serving the community.
