SBSO TOOK PART IN VALERO COOK OFF

St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies recently participated in Valero Meraux Refinery’s annual Jambalaya and Gumbo Cook-Off.

SBSO’s Chaplain Sgt. Aaron Johnson, second from left, along with members of the Corrections Division from left, Maj. Justin Meyers, Sgt. Jeffrey Babin and Dep. Amanda Smith, served as judges, tasting some of the best local recipes and helping celebrate the friendly competition.

Thanks to Valero Meraux Refinery for inviting us to participate. It’s always an honor for our deputies to be part of community events like this.
