SBSO TO HOLD SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in St. Bernard Parish on Thursday, Sept. 1 beginning around 7 p.m. and continuing through about 1 a.m. on the morning of Friday, Sept. 2, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

Officers will set up on an undisclosed roadway somewhere in the parish to check for impaired drivers, the Sheriff said. Anyone found driving impaired from alcohol or drugs will be arrested.

This sobriety checkpoint is being held in conjunction with the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over National Enforcement Mobilization Campaign.
