SBSO TO HOLD CAREER FAIR SEPT. 10

A career in law enforcement isn’t just a job – it’s a chance to protect your neighbors, mentor youth, support victims, and help shape the future of your community.

If you’re looking for a profession where your work has purpose every single day, the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office invites you to explore what’s possible, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

Join us for the SBSO Career Fair!

🗓Thursday, Sept. 10
⏰3 to 7 p.m.
📍Special Operations Division Building, behind the Field Operations Bureau at 4700 Paris Road, Chalmette.

This is more than an application event, it’s an opportunity to meet the men and women who serve St. Bernard Parish and hear firsthand how their careers allow them to make a real difference. Whether in Patrol, Corrections, Communications, or specialized divisions, every role plays a part in keeping our parish safe.

Attendees can apply on site and speak directly with Recruiter Lt. Brian Canepa about qualifications, benefits, and career paths.

Starting pay begins at $45,200, increasing to $52,400 after one year with state supplemental pay, along with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.

Applicants should bring copies of the following documents:

⭐️High school diploma or GED
⭐️️Driver’s license
⭐️Social Security card
⭐️Birth certificate
⭐️DD-214 (if applicable)
⭐️POST certification (if applicable)

If you’ve ever felt called to serve, lead, and stand up for your community, this is your chance to take that first step.
