SBSO THANKS COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR FIRST RESPONDER LUNCHEON

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to the Southeast Louisiana Utility Coordinating Council (SELA UCC), led by Chairperson William Armstrong, for hosting its First Responder Appreciation Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 30, at our Special Operations Division building.

The luncheon brought together Sheriff’s Office personnel, members of the St. Bernard Fire Department and fellow local first responders for a meal recognizing their service and quick response during utility and pipeline incidents.

A special thank-you goes to Atmos Energy, Chalmette Collins Pipelines, Moen Pipelines, NuLine Utility Services and On Point Construction for partnering with SELA UCC to honor St. Bernard Parish’s first responders. We appreciate everyone who cooked, sponsored or helped make this event possible. Your generosity means a great deal to the men and women who work every day to protect our community.

SELA UCC helps local governments, utility companies and excavators work together to safely build and maintain underground infrastructure while promoting Louisiana 811’s “Call Before You Dig” message. These partnerships also play an important role when emergencies occur and first responders must act quickly to protect the public.

Thank you for recognizing our first responders’ dedication and for supporting those who serve St. Bernard Parish!
