SBSO SEEKING TO IDENTIFY AND LOCATE SUSPECT IN VANDALISM CASE

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in two incidents of criminal damage that occurred over the weekend, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

On the morning of Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, the Sheriff said, deputies responded to two calls for service from residents in the 2800 and 2900 blocks of Ivy Place in Chalmette after they discovered their Christmas decorations had been vandalized some time overnight.

In an unusual twist, the individual left a handwritten note on the front porch of each home reading, “Happy Xmas.”

Anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of the person in the attached video is asked to call the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau’s tip hotline, (504) 271-TIPS or 8477. Callers can leave a detailed message, and either choose to provide their contact information or remain anonymous.
