SBSO SEARCHING FOR NEW ORLEANS MAN WANTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is searching for a New Orleans man wanted in connection with an incident that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Chalmette, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Elroy Richardson, 19, of the 4900 block of Little John Drive in New Orleans, is wanted for armed robbery with a firearm.
On Tuesday, shortly before 6 p.m., Sheriff Pohlmann said, deputies responded to a call for service in reference to an armed robbery in the 200 block of East St. Avide Street in Chalmette.
During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau identified Richardson as the suspect.
Richardson, who is known to go by the name “Put,” was seen leaving the incident in a silver 2015 Ford Fusion with a temporary tag in the window. He is 5’8” tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
Sheriff Pohlmann said this was an isolated incident between acquaintances. The investigation is ongoing, he said.
