SBSO RECEIVES MANUAL RESUSCITATORS FROM ACADIAN
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Field Operations Bureau Patrol Division recently received a donation of 50 bag valve manual resuscitator masks from Acadian Ambulance Services.
A bag valve manual resuscitator mask, sometimes known as an Ambu bag, is a hand-held device used to provide positive pressure ventilation to patients who are not breathing or not breathing adequately.
The devices, 25 adult and 25 child sized, will be distributed among Patrol Division deputies to keep in their vehicles in order to provide quicker medical support during emergencies.
Acadian Operations Supervisor Denni Redman and Acadian Operations Coordinator Brivan Garcia presented the donation on behalf of Acadian Operations Manager Kameron M. Hesler.
The donation was accepted Tuesday (Feb. 6) by FOB Patrol Division Capt. Richard Barr and 2nd Platoon Commander Lt. Jorge Vargas at the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office Paris Road substation in Chalmette.
Thank you, Acadian Ambulance!!
