SBSO RECEIVES CARE PACKAGES FOR CHILDREN
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office recently received a donation of more than 80 care packages for children from members of the St. Bernard Volunteers for Family and Community.
The bags will be distributed by deputies to children who may need comfort during an accident or incident scene or to be used as an overnight bag in the event they are being removed from their home by the Department of Child and Family Services.
The bags, which contain items like books, toys, stuffed animals, blankets and toiletry items, will be distributed to all enforcement officers.
Sgt. Brian Canepa, of the Field Operations Bureau Patrol Division’s 1st Platoon, accepted the bags on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
