SBSO RECEIVES BICYCLES FROM ASSOCIATED TERMINALS

Since 2003, Associated Terminals, the exclusive operator of the Port of St. Bernard’s marine facilities, has been spreading holiday cheer by donating bicycles to the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office for distribution to local children at Christmas.

Sheriff James Pohlmann said the bikes were once again delivered to the Sheriff’s Office this December and handed out just in time for Christmas through the department’s COPS For Christmas program. This initiative supports families in need by providing toys, food, clothing, Christmas trees, and other essentials.

As the largest midstream stevedoring company on the Mississippi River, Associated Terminals operates in multiple locations, including the Chalmette Slip in St. Bernard Parish, Plaquemines Parish, and Reserve. The company’s employees generously contribute to the bicycle project, funding this heartfelt tradition that brings joy to local children each holiday season.
