SBSO RAISES MONEY FOR UNITED WAY
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office held a “No Shave November” fundraiser to raise money for a worthy cause, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
During the months of November and December, 2022, Sheriff Pohlmann allowed deputies in the Corrections Division at St. Bernard Parish Prison to forgo shaving if they were willing to donate money each week to United Way of Southeast Louisiana.
The Sheriff said the deputies raised $2,550 which was recently presented to representatives with United Way.
Col. Kevin Sensebe, warden, and Maj. Justin Meyers, assistant warden, presented the proceeds to Michael Williamson, United Way chief executive officer and president; Charmaine Caccioppi, United Way chief operating officer and executive vice president; and Brittany Elder, United Way of SELA resource development manager.
