SBSO PARTNERS WITH ATTORNEY GENERAL’S ICAC TASK FORCE
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General as part of the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Sheriff James Pohlmann said this collaboration will strengthen efforts to investigate and prevent the online exploitation of children, and allow SBSO to work alongside state and federal partners to identify offenders and protect children throughout St. Bernard Parish.
“Partnerships like this play a vital role in keeping our children safe,” Sheriff Pohlmann said. “Our deputies work hard every day to protect the most vulnerable members of our community, and we’re proud to join forces with the Attorney General’s Office to strengthen those efforts even further.”
Col. Chad Clark, commander of the Criminal Investigations Division, will oversee the Sheriff’s Office’s involvement in the task force and coordinate efforts between local investigators and the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit.
“Partnering with the Attorney General’s Office allows us to combine resources and expertise so we can more effectively pursue those who target children online,” Col. Clark said.
