SBSO PARTICIPATES IN SPECIAL OLYMPICS
St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann and members of the Sheriff’s Office joined volunteers on Friday, March 13 to support St. Bernard Parish students as they took the spotlight at the St. Bernard Parish Public School System’s 2026 Louisiana Special Olympics.
Held at Chalmette High School’s Bobby Nuss Stadium, this year’s event brought together more than 100 student-athletes who competed in a variety of track and field events.
Sheriff Pohlmann was joined by members of the Special Investigations Division, Criminal Investigations Bureau and Community Relations, who were there to cheer on participants competing in events such as the softball throw, standing long jump, 100-meter run and wheelchair race.
