SBSO PARTICIPATES IN SCHOOL LITERACY WEEK ACTIVITIES
Several St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies recently participated in Literacy Week festivities at various St. Bernard Parish Public Schools.
Literacy Week is a dedicated annual observance designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading, writing, and lifelong learning for students, families, and communities.
Sheriff James Pohlmann said he encourages deputies to participate in Literacy Week activities at local schools, noting the effort goes beyond promoting reading.
“Their involvement also helps build positive relationships between law enforcement and the community from a young age,” the Sheriff said.
