SBSO PARTICIPATES IN LEADERSHIP ST. BERNARD

St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann and Col. Chad Clark, chief of detectives and commander of the Criminal Investigations Bureau, were among several guest speakers who attended a Leadership St. Bernard class titled “Meet Your Parish Officials” held recently in the Sheriff’s Office Training Center in Chalmette.

Other guest speakers included: St. Bernard District Attorney Perry Nicosia, St. Bernard Fire Chief Earl Borden Jr. and St. Bernard Deputy Assessor Kenny Tucker.

Leadership St. Bernard, now in its 10th year, is a program designed to educate and engage citizens in identifying needs, resources, and opportunities for St. Bernard Parish as a way to motivate and increase the awareness of potential leaders.

Throughout the year, the course covers a wide array of topics including regional perspectives, quality of life issues, culture and tourism, diversity, education, industry, economic and community development and governmental affairs.
