SBSO JOINS KEEP LOUISIANA BEAUTIFUL FOR WATERWAY CLEANUP
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office was proud to join Keep Louisiana Beautiful, Keep St. Bernard Beautiful, local partners and volunteers recently for the Bayou Bienvenue/Violet Canal waterway cleanup, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Several SBSO deputies rolled up their sleeves and pitched in alongside community members to remove trash and debris and help care for the waterways that are such an important part of St. Bernard Parish.
SBSO participants included Col. Chad Clark, Col. Pete Tufaro, Capt. Brian Clark, Lt. David Culpepper, Lt. Ronnie Stevens, Detective Sgt. Kenneth Sierra, Sgt. Dusty Gould and Dep. Jeffery Meyer.
Other participating agencies and organizations included St. Bernard Parish Government, the St. Bernard Fire Department, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, On Point Construction and Walmart.
The cleanup was part of the #LoveOurWaterways initiative and served as a great example of what can be accomplished when our community works together.
