SBSO INVESTIGATING VEHICLE VANDALISM IN MERAUX
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is investigating several incidents of vehicle vandalism, including keying of cars, that have recently occurred in the Lexington Place Subdivision in Meraux, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Deputies have received multiple reports from residents whose vehicles were damaged while parked in the neighborhood. Detectives are actively working to identify those responsible.
“We take these incidents seriously,” Sheriff Pohlmann said. “Our deputies are committed to finding those responsible and holding them accountable for the damage caused to residents’ property.”
Sheriff Pohlmann urges anyone who has been affected by this vandalism, or anyone who may have surveillance footage or information that could assist in the investigation to call the Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau’s tip hotline, (504) 271-TIPS or 8477. Callers can leave a detailed message, and either choose to provide their contact information or remain anonymous.
