SBSO INVESTIGATING FATAL SHOOTING IN VIOLET
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in the area near East St. Bernard Highway and Colonial Boulevard in Violet, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
On Thursday, Feb. 12, at approximately 12:40 p.m., deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a shooting in the 2000 block of Colonial Boulevard.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located an adult male victim lying in the ground behind a business suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
