SBSO INVESTIGATING ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY IN ARABI

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into an attempted armed robbery that occurred recently in Arabi, and detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the two individuals in this video, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Shortly after midnight on Aug. 10, 2026, deputies responded to a business in the 6700 block of St. Claude Avenue after receiving a report of an injured man seeking help.
Deputies learned the victim had been walking in the 900 block of Mehle Street when he was approached by two masked individuals who demanded his cellphone and wallet.
When the victim refused, a struggle ensued and the victim sustained some injuries. The two suspects then fled the area on foot.
The victim was able to make his way to a nearby business, where an employee contacted the Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. No belongings were taken during the incident.
