SBSO HOLDS FINAL HUNTER COURSE OF THE YEAR
St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office holds final hunter education class of the season
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office recently held its second and final free hunter education class of the year, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Nearly 40 youngsters participated in the classes which covered the Field Day portion of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries-approved hunter education program. Participants received classroom instruction and hands-on shooting range time to learn and demonstrate important firearm handling and hunting safety skills.
The Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone who participated in this season’s classes and encourages hunters to make safety a priority every time they head outdoors.
Anyone interested in attending a future hunter education course should check the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries registration website at https://louisianaoutdoors.com/events for upcoming classes and availability.
