SBSO DRUG TAKE BACK TODAY
If you have unwanted over-the-counter medications or expired prescriptions you need to properly dispose of you can do so today (Oct. 29) as the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office participates in the annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
SBSO Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit agents will accept unwanted medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walgreens, 100 W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette, at the corner of Paris Road.
For those not able to make the Oct. 29 event, the Sheriff’s Office also has a drop box located year-round at the substation at 4700 Paris Road in Chalmette.
