Three St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated Nov. 2 from the Peace Officers Standards and Training, or P.O.S.T. School, at the Slidell Regional Police Academy.
Congratulations to graduates: Dep. Jonathan Ludwig, Dep. Victoria Courteaux and Dep. Gavin McNab, all of the Corrections Division.
Dep. McNab received the first place Fast Track Driving Award.
This academy included nearly 700 hours of training in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms use, criminal investigation, patrol procedures, building clearance, writing reports, driving training and physical fitness.
Sheriff Richard Baumy congratulated the new deputies on their accomplishments, saying he’s proud of their hard work and dedication.
“Graduating from P.O.S.T. takes a strong commitment and discipline,” Sheriff Baumy said. “We’re proud of these deputies and look forward to seeing them put their training to work and serve the people of St. Bernard Parish well.”
