SBSO DEPUTIES GRADUATE FROM P.O.S.T. POLICE ACADEMY

Three St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated Nov. 8 from the Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) police academy held at the Slidell Regional Police Academy, and two received recertifications, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

Congratulations to graduates Dep. Payton Adams, Dep. Leighann Armand and Dep. Ashlee Esteves, and those who received recertification, Dep. John Roques and Detective Donald Saucier.

This academy included 690 hours of training in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms use, criminal investigation, patrol procedures, building clearance, writing reports, driving training and physical fitness.

Dep. Payton Adams, of the Field Operations Bureau Patrol Division, served as class president and received the second place Fast Track Driving Award.

Dep. Leighann Armand, of the Communications Division 9-1-1 Center, was secretary and had the second highest POST test score award.

Sheriff James Pohlmann was in attendance at the graduation along with other ranking SBSO members, including Col. Chad Clark and Lt. Eric Eilers.
