SBSO DEPUTIES GRADUATE FROM P.O.S.T. POLICE ACADEMY
Three St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated May 5 from the Peace Officers Standards and Training, or P.O.S.T., police academy held at the Slidell Regional Police Academy.
Congratulations to graduates Dep. Grant Evans, Dep. Codey Babin, Dep. Rees Gutierrez.
Dep. Babin won first place in the driving course, Dep. Evans received third place in firearms score, and Dep. Gutierrez tied for third place on the P.O.S.T. test score.
The academy included more than 500 hours of training in all aspects of law enforcement, including firearms use, criminal investigation, patrol procedures, writing reports, driving training and physical fitness.
Deputy Chief John Doran, Chaplain Dep. Aaron Johnson, Capt. Adrian Chalona, Lt. Warren Chambon, and Capt. Dennis Morgan attended the graduation ceremony.
