SBSO DEPUTIES GRADUATE FROM P.O.S.T. ACADEMY
Three St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated Nov. 24 from the Peace Officers Standards and Training, or P.O.S.T., basic police academy at the St. Charles Parish Regional P.O.S.T. Academy.
Graduates are: Dep. Eliasib Mojica-Martinez, Dep. Rhett Fleetwood and Dep. Marisa Ansalve.
The academy included nearly 500 hours of training in basic police work over 16 weeks, including firearms use, criminal investigation, patrol procedures, writing reports, driving training, physical fitness and other areas.
Dep. Fleetwood received the top academics award and Dep. Ansalve took home the top shot award.
Capt. Stephen Ingargiola, Capt. Adrian Chalona and Dep. Robert Maloz attended the ceremony with the graduates.
