SBSO ‘COPS FOR CHRISTMAS’ CHILI COOK OFF FUNDRAISER TOMORROW
Looking for something fun to do this weekend that will help out a worthy cause as well?
Do you love a good bowl of chili?
If you said yes to either stop by the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office C.O.P.S. for Christmas chili cook off fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 10 p.m. at Old Arabi Bar, 6701 N. Peters Street in Old Arabi. The judging will be held at 6 p.m.
There will be music, food, refreshments, vendors and raffles. Live music will be provided by the Jenn Howard Band beginning at 7 p.m.
Advance wristbands will be $25 per person for ages 12 and older and $8 per person for ages 6-11. Wristbands at the event will be $30 per person for ages 12 and older and $10 per person for ages 6-11. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted free.

Every holiday season for more than a decade St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office deputies have kept the magic of Christmas alive for local families who might otherwise go without, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Each year, C.O.P.S (Caring Officers Provide Smiles) for Christmas LLC helps provide several St. Bernard families with things such as toys, food, clothing and household and toiletry items. Bicycles also are usually donated by a local business.
Funding for this annual program is made possible through fundraisers, items collected from local businesses and donations from deputies.
The chili cook off is this year’s fundraiser. Please stop by and support this worthy cause.
