SBSO CELEBRATES NATIONAL COFFEE WITH A COP DAY

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Division celebrated National Coffee with a Cop Day today (Oct. 5) at The Coffee House in Arabi.

Lt. Eric Eilers, head of Community Relations, right, and Dep. Aaron Johnson, who also serves as chaplain, left, visited with Coffee House Manager Eli and patrons of the business over a cup of coffee this morning.

National Coffee with a Cop Day is observed on the first Wednesday in October to foster relations between civilians and their community police officers.

Sheriff James Pohlmann said it is important for his deputies to establish good relationships with residents and hear from the community about their security challenges and needs. Residents are important allies for deputies in protecting and caring for the people of our parish, the Sheriff said.

Sheriff Pohlmann thanks the citizens of St. Bernard Parish for their unwavering support and asks that we continue to work together to “Keep St. Bernard Safe.”
