SBSO CELEBRATES K-9 PIT’S 4TH BIRTHDAY AND HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Since joining the Special Investigations Division in 2023, Pit and his handler, Narcotics Agent Patrick Clark, have been busy assisting with traffic stops, search warrants and school searches throughout St. Bernard Parish, helping remove dangerous narcotics from our community.🚔🐕🦺
Since the beginning of 2026, Pit has helped SBSO agents and several federal, state and local law enforcement partners confiscate approximately 10 pounds of methamphetamine, 4 pounds of fentanyl, 195 grams of black tar heroin, 350 grams of heroin, 286 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), 274 grams of cocaine and 3 pounds of marijuana.🫡⭐
Sheriff James Pohlmann praised K-9 Pit and Agent Clark for their continued hard work and dedication.
“Pit has become an important part of our Special Investigations Division and has done an outstanding job alongside Agent Clark,” Sheriff Pohlmann said. “We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication they show every day.”
