SBSO AT HOME DEPOT KIDS SAFETY DAY UNTIL NOON
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is participating in the Chalmette Home Depot’s annual St. Bernard Kids Safety Day taking place today (Oct. 1) until noon in the store parking lot, 8601 W. Judge Perez Drive.
The free event features games, crafts and building workshops for children, as well as food and refreshments.
Sheriff James Pohlmann stopped by to visit with the kids and deputies brought along the armored SWAT vehicle, Marine Division airboat and Mobile Command Post.
The St. Bernard Fire Department also has its Fire Safety House on site.
