SBSO ARRESTS WOMAN ON NUMEROUS NARCOTICS CHARGES

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman on numerous narcotics charges following an investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

After obtaining information that Leila Robinson, 42, of the 2300 block of Riverbend Drive in Violet, was involved in illegal drug activity in St. Bernard Parish, Narcotics Unit agents opened an investigation.

Robinson was booked Feb. 21 with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute Alprazolam, possession with intent to distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms, 9 counts of possession of a schedule IV/manufacture sale, 6 counts of possession of a Legend drug without a prescription or order, 5 counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II, 2 counts of schedule v/manufacture, sale, distribution or possession of a Legend drug without a prescription or order, schedule II possession, 3 counts of drug paraphernalia and windshield obscuring view.

Robinson was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison to be booked on the above charges. Her bond was set at $132,000.

Sheriff Pohlmann reminds residents to call the Sheriff’s Office narcotics hotline at (504) 271-DOPE or 3673 to report suspected illegal drug activity in St. Bernard Parish. Callers can remain anonymous, and all calls will be acted upon.
