SBSO ARRESTS VIOLET MAN ON VARIOUS NARCOTICS CHARGES
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a Violet man following an investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Kerry Major, 37, of the 3100 block of Angelique Drive in Violet, was booked with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm with obliterated serial numbers, possession of marijuana, possession of Xanax, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal window tint and suspended driver’s license.
During the course of the investigation, agents recovered a 9mm handgun with obliterated serial numbers.
A criminal history check was conducted on Major which revealed he is a convicted felon.
Major was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison where he is being held on a $274,850 bond.
Sheriff Pohlmann also reminds residents to call the Sheriff’s Office narcotics hotline at (504) 271-DOPE or 3673 to report suspected illegal drug activity in St. Bernard Parish. Callers can remain anonymous, and all calls will be acted upon.
