SBSO ARRESTS THREE TEENAGERS FOR BUSINESS BURGLARY

The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested three teenagers for burglarizing a Chalmette business last week, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.

James Everett, 18, of the 2500 block of Gallo Drive in Chalmette, was booked with simple burglary and attempted simple burglary.

Semaj Daggs, 17, of the 2500 block of Gallo Drive in Chalmette, was booked with simple burglary.

A 16-year-old of the same address also was booked with simple burglary in the case.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, shortly before 9:30 a.m., Sheriff Pohlmann said, deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a business burglary in the 2000 block of East Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette that occurred overnight while the business was closed.

Numerous items, including shoes, clothing, perfume, cologne, and other merchandise, were reported missing from the business.

During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau were able to identify the three suspects through video surveillance obtained from the incident and social media admissions.
