SBSO ARRESTS NEW ORLEANS MAN ON NARCOTICS CHARGES, SEIZES WEAPON
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a New Orleans man on narcotics charges and seized a firearm following a traffic stop conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Dan Green Jr., 28, of the 2900 block of Joliet Street in New Orleans, was booked with careless operation of a vehicle, flight from an officer, aggravated obstruction of a highway, obstruction of justice, resisting an officer, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute Tapentadol, possession of MDMA (Ecstasy), possession of fentanyl, possession of Lorazepam, possession of Promethazine, possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled dangerous substance, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the course of the investigation, agents also recovered a Springfield .9mm firearm.
A criminal history background check was conducted on Green which revealed he is on probation and has prior convictions, including for illegal carrying of a weapon, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana, amphetamine, fentanyl and Alprazolam.
Green was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison to be booked on the above charges. His bond was set at $591,500.
