SBSO ARRESTS MAN ON VARIOUS NARCOTICS CHARGES
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on various narcotics charges following an investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Marco Mejia, 36, 1600 block of General Ogden Street in New Orleans, was booked Feb. 19 with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
He also was booked on an outstanding bench warrant out of St. Bernard Parish for a traffic attachment and narcotics, and on an outstanding bench warrant out of the New Orleans Police Department.
During the course of the investigation, Narcotics agents recovered $6,355 in cash, and worked with Louisiana State Police to conduct a search warrant at his residence in which they recovered marijuana, cocaine and a firearm.
Mejia was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison to be booked on the above charges. His bond was set at $40,300.
