SBSO ARRESTS MAN IN CONNECTION WITH VEHICLE VANDALISM IN MERAUX
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with several incidents of vehicle vandalism that recently occurred in the Lexington Place Subdivision in Meraux, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Robert Clark, 29, of the 2700 block of Bradbury Drive in Meraux, was booked with 14 counts of simple criminal damage.
Sheriff Pohlmann said deputies with the Field Operations Bureau Patrol Division, while conducting proactive patrols in the area, came into contact with Clark in the subdivision.
During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau determined Clark to be the suspect in the acts of vandalism through video surveillance and eyewitness accounts.
Sheriff Pohlmann said the investigation began when deputies received multiple reports from residents whose vehicles were damaged while parked in the neighborhood.
“I want to thank the residents who reported these incidents and shared information with our detectives,” Sheriff Pohlmann said. “Their cooperation, along with the hard work of our deputies, led to a quick arrest.”
Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office at (504) 271-2501 or the Criminal Investigations Bureau’s tip hotline at (504) 271-TIPS (8477). Callers can leave a detailed message and may remain anonymous.
