SBSO ARRESTED NEW ORLEANS MAN ON NARCOTICS CHARGES, SEIZED WEAPON
The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a New Orleans man on narcotics charges and seized a firearm following an investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit, Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
Stephan Massey, 32, of the 7600 block of Vincent Road in New Orleans, was booked possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, proceeds from drug transactions, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal window tint.
During the course of the investigation, deputies also recovered a PTR9 (9KT) .9mm firearm from Massey’s possession, as well as $10,280 in cash.
A criminal history background check was conducted on Massey which revealed he also goes by the alias Romeo Dejoie. It also revealed he is a convicted felon and is on active probation.
Massey was transported to St. Bernard Parish Prison to be booked on the above charges. His bond has been set at $186,100.
