Beginning tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 17 at 9 a.m., Judge Perez Drive at the railroad crossing at Alexander and Aycock Streets in Arabi will be FULLY CLOSED for 24 hours while Norfolk Southern Railroad repairs a rail defect.
⚠️ Expect traffic delays and congestion in the surrounding areas.
➡️ St. Bernard Highway (LA 46) and Patricia Street can be used to cross the tracks, but both will likely experience heavier-than-normal traffic.
➡️ If you need to enter or exit the parish during this time, consider using Paris Road (LA 47) as an alternative route.
⏰ Allow yourself extra travel time, plan your route ahead of time and, as always, drive safely!
